| As
the daughter of an Artist and Naturalist it was probably inevitable
that at some stage in my life I would explore and return to
the interests awakened in my early years. Now my sons are grown
and flown the nest giving me the freedom necessary to find adventure
on the ' Dark Continent'.
I
have now been travelling in Africa for twelve years, spending
two to three months a year there. I have explored 18 countries
on the African Continent, mostly the countries south and east.
Crossing the Sahara was amazing then heading on through Niger,
Cameroon, CAR, Zaire now the DRC, and Burundi. I have now
become a complete Afraholick, draw back again and again by
the incredible wild life. My photography has developed from
drawing and painting by waterholes.
The photographs I took to paint from were enjoyed, mainly
by my family, later after joining a camera club others seemed
to like them too.
